Designing for an ethical message

"Modern art and design history reinforces the ethical role of graphic design. From the social reformers in the Arts and Crafts Movement, to machine age Futurists, design has been a tool in the conscientious objectives of many cultures"

The Sorry Public

Due to starting a new project today, I had to research into public apologies for my idea. Surprisingly, with all the current issues with politicians spending tax payers money on manure, etc, public apologies werent hard to find!
Just because a celebrity/politician/banker says he is sorry in front of millions it doesnt neccessarily mean that person is sorry! Do you really think the HBOS chairman is as sorry as he says? He still has his lifestyle and his money!
Seems as a country we are obsessed with media run public apologies, and even perhaps we are a bit too forgiving.

First Post!

First post... and I dont quite know what to write!
Guess I could tell you about Wired. Went to the last EDO lecture, to see Scott Dadich who is the Creative Director. Not only was he oh-so-charming but he had some really cool ideas about magazine design and seemed very passionate about his job! See some of his work here.

I hope I can be as passionate about my line of work when I finally get out into the industry!
